Default my 69 vin any help decoding?

Relatively new to this forum, but ive owned 6 different vettes. I was wondering if anyone can share there vin number decoding knowledge on my 69 coupe. I bought it in boxes no motor or seats but most everything else was there i believe 427 390 hp 4 speed car. the vin is as follows 194379s715204.Thanks for any help.-------skip

Not much to glean from the vin of the 69 cars. Your car was #15204 of 38762. This vin was built in mid Jan of 1969 according to the black book.
The trim data plate on the door jam will give you the interior and exterior color, as well as the build date.
Also says it is a coupe, as you stated.
Other than that, you will need the bbuild sheet for an options list.

94=corvette
37= 2 door sport coupe
9=1969 year
s=saint louis, car was built in St. louis
7=again corvette
15204= a number between 1 and 38762 determining the sequence number built, the 15,204th car built.

no way to tell engine or trans.....

Its a 4speed car ,i have numbers matching trans, also has hd rear end yokes and seems to be original bb 427 hood--just gueesing 390hp.Ill see this sping when tank is dropped if build sheetis there and readable.
