Default 69 washer system

So my washer system in my 69 is finally working. I was able to use the parts off a new system to get mine working again.

The windshield sprays nicely, but the headlights sort of leak out of the nozzles (which are new and not plugged)

Water drips out of the headlights when they are closed.

How is the system supposed to work? I would think that the headlights dont need to be cleaned when they are not open, so I assume something is not totally right with my car.

Is there something that is supposed to regulate the pressure?

Gary

do you have your hoses from the pump right? Do you have the factory pump with the coil activated pump on it in addition to the regular pump? Lets start there...........

Wiper arms should come out of the auxiliary pump, the nozzle pointed towards driver fender. The lights comes out the bottom of the aux pump, and the main pump feeds the other port at the bottom.
