I want to get a subscription to a Vette magazine but I would like some opinions on the best one to get.
I am looking for a magazine that covers as many of the following as possible:
- details on new/current models (keep me current with todays specs and models)
- recapping historical views of older corvettes (as we all have c3s)
- articles of what mods and restorations people have done
Stingray do yourself a favor and save your $$$. You have all that and soooooo much more right here on the forum.
This is true.
I guess if people know websites that give this same information for free, by all means, please inform us. What is your favorite vette site to visit (expect this one of course).

I'm curious to know, also, ~Stingray. We know CF has all of that and a bag of chips but I have a question: do the mods have any issue by offering a link to a magazine website? Just looking for info here.

I am not exactly sure what you are asking me, lol.
But my reason for asking is I enjoy seeing how people get creative. Not just on C3s but on newer corvettes and mustangs. Its like looking at art. I am just curious about what people have done.
Hi,
I think magazines' content has followed where the MOST advertising money comes to them from.
The content for 68-82 cars is pretty sparse for that reason.
Years ago I received 4, now receive 0.
I still anxiously wait for the 'NCRS RESTORER' for content, and the 'NCRS DRIVELINE' for vendor's ads, cars for sale, parts for sale and wanted, and services offered, ads.
Regards,
Alan
There aren't very many choices around these days for actual printed magazines, but I still get Vette, it sometimes has good articles . Oh yea, and the pictures aren't bad either.
For a little variety Auto Enthusiast has a lot to offer. Always Vette stuff..usually old stuff...plus strong tech articles and features on lots of other cars..from antiques to new..stock and modded. The photography they produce is incredible.

I do like the NCRS Restorer and Driveline. Corvette Magazine isn't too bad.
Unfortunately alot of the people that write for the magazines have never owned a Corvette and really don't know that much about them. When real experts like John Hinckley are dismissed from magazines or they morph into coverage of different makes, I lose interest.
The interactive forums like this and the NCRS Tech board are more real time and fun. It's great to exchange ideas on a daily basis like this. All forms of print media are dying right now. Still like to hold my morning paper though.
Everytime I go to a bookstore I cruise the magazine racks, about once a year I find one that interests me. What I have gotten into lately is pulling my old issues from the 70's and 80's out of their storage boxes in the attic and rereading some of that stuff. The ads are really a kick in the butt!
