Water pump numbers
I know there is a book somewhere with this type of information---I have seen guys on here with that type of inf0----here goes
350 chevy waterpump #3771 on the top of the shaft and made in USA and D17 underneath the shaft
looking for what it goes to ,year, etc. any help would be appreciated thanks

After market.
Sounds like an after market pump to me. Original GM pumps will have the letters "GM" cast into them along with a 7 digit part number.
I think the correct part number for a 70 corvette ends in 608.
As far as what your pump goes to, year, etc, I would guess any small block Chevy.
