What do you say???
Tell them you like the rear window, and that you bought it for $25 from Goodwill so you couldn't pass it up.

The question implies one of the Corvettes, if not one MY then another, is bad; "the worst" - as in all are bad, but that one is the worst!
What a bullsh*t kind of question! There's no way to answer it w/o projecting defamation on at least one MY.
A Corvette is mult-facited machine with appeal to may different likes or dislikes. For example, in terms of stock HP, to some everything less than a current ZR1 is somehow diminished. From that perspective, the '53 with it's "hot water 6" and Powerglide trans would have to be on the bottom of the pile. However, go try to buy a survivor or one of Brett's restored 53s for what a new ZR1 goes for, and suddenly it comes to mind there might be more than pure HP by which Corvette ownership is based!
In keeping with the C3 forum, in Corvette From the Inside, Dave McLellan illudes to the fit and finish or "hurry up" issues that plagued the 68s. Lots of squeaks, rattles, and examples of ill-fitting panels. But, you don't hear many casting dispursions on a the 68 L88s, huh?
I guess one question to fire back is, "What year Corvette do you have, and what model appeals to you the most??"
I like them all - notice I'm visiting the C3 forum, but I drive a C4. I'm sure we all like some models more than others, some series I like more than others. However, I don't give a rats azz what anyone else thinks of my choice. Its mine, its my hobby, others may like it ... or not, but that's where it ends. A well maintained, Corvette that shows TLC is a thing of beauty, no matter what year it is.
Corvettes...They're all special in their own way. Some models have more appeal to some than others, but that means that all Corvettes are special to someone...as it should be.
Your mileage may vary!

HAHAHA, that's good.Actually I thought the 80-82's were the worst as far as performance goes. Not that I care. It's easy enough to make them go faster!

It is most likely someone who is jealous!
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
If memory serves, I believe it was the 1980(?) California-only Corvette that had the 305 ci as result of a red tape issue in getting the 350 ci certified that year (or was it two years??). The 305 made 180 hp (again, if I recall). Loaded into 4000 pound car with a automatic trans, AC, PS, etc. that copy might be leaving a bit to be desired as well.
However, those I've met that own some of the late C3s, say they were among the best from a fit and finish and driveability perspective. I yield to those that know.)

There is not a nice answer to someone that is that STUPID to say such a thing to anyone! I hear STUPID things all the time about the 68's also! Any old car that is taken care of is a cool car and some one loves it as it should be. Every rebuilt car of any make is only as good as the work quaility is. I mean if you repair something and it was fitting poorly from the factory are you going to put it back poorly or install it as you think it should've been? I tell people who ask, it is my car built the way I want it and if you like looking at it cool if not move on with my boot in your +++.

My 72 and 69 and not as refined as the 81 but my 69 is a 42 yo worn out diver...let me rebuild it then judge it,
Yep this is some jealous as all hell dolt who wants to try to knock you down....just ask him...."What do you drive" and when he replies tell him you drive the 79 because some you don't wanna drive a ____________ fill in what he owns....
