I think those wheels are called Halibrand not Hildebrand. They are a very expensive high end wheel that was used on the old Shelby Cobras. I like the car myself but I like modified cars.

Correct, however I think after several BKs, Halibrand might have finally called it quits. Team III wheels, however, makes a very good looking copy, available in many sizes and custom offsets.
I don't like it.... but Is just my opinion. I always say, there's always some one whiling to buy something weird or different and also someone to sell it.
I can't judge you if you are crazy or not... but if you buy it and pay $10.000 maybe I'll say Yes
I don't like the raised spoiler and the additional front lights. I think the headlight mod could have been better done. It looks cheap, especially since it is not flat and smooth to the hood.
It is cool. It's pretty clean and a lot of useful things for hitting the track have already been done. Engines are easy to drop in, and allow you to finish it the way you want. The bottom line is with a late model engine, this roller will be 10x more useful both on the street and at the track than any stock C3.

While we're picking on it, I'd think the FIA headlight covers need full-width hinges and multiple pins at the rear for any real speed, the inner fender vent baffles are missing beneath the louvers, and rear spoiler is oversized.
Kinda like the front treatment and some of the other touches, but never cared for early style sidepipe covers on non-chrome bumper sharks. My $.02
Not bad for a custom....but I wonder why they don't drop an engine/trans into it? Would sell for a lot more then the cost of a salvage yard engine. Makes me think that there are other issues with the car.
i live right across the freeway from it. side pipes are a no-no in California, and as the ad indicates ... it's not street legal. you'd still have to trailer it home.

Well that, and there is no engine :-)
I don't really care for the old school parts on a late C3, but that is my opinion.
I forgot to answer your real question about crazy. Aren't most c3 owners a little bit Short of sense as well as money? Would a sane person spend the time and money , on cars that are up to 40 plus years old, go through the frustrations we go through keeping it just right, and then get it into traffic not knowing when someone on their cell is going to kill it?
