For the "right" price (cheap) it could have potential if you are into customs. It does have bagage though. Some of the mods are over the top even for a custom. What's with the "gravel guard" over the front of the rear flares? I can't help but think that's hiding something. "Hildebrand" mags - they're new to me???? It will be interesting to see what the "on line auction people" are willing to pay or should I say bid to.
It's got to be the ugliest vette I have ever seen without someone trying to make it ugly. Does that make sense? From the front, it looks like a bug ready to eat something. The headlights look like bug eyes and the lights under the bumper look like buck teeth. The owner is going to be stuck with this car for a long time.

That gravel guard actually serves a pretty good purpose. I found out very quickly how bad the paint on your rear flares can get eaten up, but I went with a 3M clear shield though. He probably already had some mean paint chips to hide.
if you can't say anything nice....................................
not related to this car just saying that a reserve price on a car with no motor or trans in it wtf?
$5500 reserve not met?!?!?! a late 70's c3 can only be worth $5,500 or more if it had running motor and trans in it
The headlights are actually pretty awesome IIIIIIFFFFFFF it is NOT a rubber bumper car and IIIIIIFFFFFF you do the rest of the car in a full-boat racing outfit...paint, stickers, number, fender flares, etc. They look absolutely awesome on a "period" car. I have to admit, as much as I like them, they look a little dorky in this application.
I also like the separate right/left mixture sensors. Don't know that I'd canibalize my 1970 console to add them in that conspicuous of a location, but having them somewhere in teh car would be pretty useful...
All in all, it would probably turn some heads. Personally, I'd do a black or stainless Hooker header instead of the combination 'single tube' deal...that would add a lot of race to it. And the thought of it being an automatic is a little off-putting to me for some reason.
Anyone notice the front bumper is modified (or is this an old aftermarket that is not in production anymore)? No side lamps and the front top piece is extended longer over the license plate area and the license plate sides are angled.
It's ok looking, looks a bit cartoonish with the exaggerated spoiler, flares, and front bumper.
Compared to some of the gakkmobiles floating around out there it doesn't really appear to be THAT badly done...a little over the top to be sure, but at least it looks clean. I have to wonder why all those pics were taken in the shade, though...what was he trying to hide?

I noticed that too, have never seen a similar one.
