So when you called them on the phone, what did they say?

You are a half a world away. Maybe they didn't receive the e-mails. Pick up a phone and call them.

I use them and Willcox. Pretty good service from them. Frustrating when you place an order, and the item is backordered, you can't cancel and order from someone who has the part in stock, but I guess that's why you should always ask first!

I've ordered parts from CC that were back ordered. Yes, it's discouraging when you have to wait a little longer to receive your order but I wouldn't blame the vendor. CC didn't charge my credit card until they shipped me the parts. When I had to return parts I found them to be very accommodating and gave me no hassles. I would definitely order from them again.

I have to chime in here too. My experience with CC has always been good. In some instances when an item has been backordered, they have always told me so I had the option of waiting for it, or ordering somewhere else. I give a big to CC.

Restoring my own Vette; I've used many, many aftermarket outlets. Corvette Central is primo in my books. I try to order parts a month or two before I need them. When you're into year three of a five year restoration, a two week delay doesn't bother me too much.

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. They let me know that they didn't have a lower horn contact for t/t columns, and a horn button for a 77-79 car, and asked if I wanted to wait or drop them from my order. I chose to drop them from the order, got the horn contact from ebay, and am getting a horn button from a forum member. Great customer service CC!

The only issue I've ever had was shipping. I posted this a month ago, I needed the window tract rebuild kits and the small window fuzzies. Total part cost of $200 plus, but would fit in the palm of one hand and would shipp in an envelope and they wanted just over $25. I can ship a head to texas for that much.
I suspect it's price related, so they didn't get the order. I understand they offer shipping included "now and then", but I didn't need the parts "now and then" I needed them Now. The things I have gotten from them in the past have always been good and on time and since oversized were a little more shipping but that's OK.
I spoke with another vendor who is supplying me with the parts for half that cost. Same parts. The extra $10 or so isn't going to break me, it's just the idea.

Hi s,
I can see that it's pretty frustrating to not have the order even processed for 2 weeks.
Have you bought parts from them before?
Did you, or did you need to, clarify the shipping issues with them in advance? I can understand that shipping to Kuwait wouldn't be normal for them.
It's not your fault where you live but, I could understand the order needing some special attention.
Regards,
Alan

thanks to all , but i am talking about replaying to customers , the problem was that i don't know about my order , it is not about shipping or back order items , and of cores i called them but imagine with international call and they put you on hold or transferring you from a person to another with the same questions , then ...no use.
i am a classic car lover since 35 years and own a lot off them and an old customer to most vendor since then , and i am most comfort with them as : ecklers , willcox , summit , riks vet , ....etc plus ebay , they are all great.

I just called them this morning to see about the availability of a part. I've never ordered from them in the past, but I did get a live person and they did tell me that it was out of stock, due in on Feb. 21st. Sorry about your occurrence, but they seem responsive to me.

Never had a problem with CC either and I have ordered ALOT of stuff from them. Can't put a monetary amount because that info is classified and may get back to the wife. Just occasional back orders but i pretty much experienced that at one time or another with all of the vendors.

I'm sorry to hear of your experience. If you will send me your name and customer # in a private message, I will find out what happened.

Sorry you have had a bad experience. I have purchased a few items from them and had no problem. For me, I live about 10 minutes from Zip, so I save on shipping charges and the guys I deal with are great to work with. Just sayin'.
