Console Heat - Found some!
So my console gets pretty hot (I know, hard to believe), I think I may have found at least some of the reason.
Gaping hole directly above the Exhaust / Tranny, Nahhh that wouldn't have any affect....
That being said, WTF is with this rubber bladder anyway? They made a whole panel to clear the pass-side of the auto trans, too complected to make a panel for the shifter?
Ah well, back to the tar pits

Ok, so the new lower shifter seal / boot is in. Looks much better, hopefully keeps some heat out
Also have the under body insulation in (few days ago while waiting for the seal to come in actually)
And wormed the foam collar into position (would have been sooooo much easier without a tranny in place but realistically it wasn't too bad with the shifter cable etc no there)
Not sure where it really goes so I lined it up with the edge of the firewall panel
Stuck it up on the drivers side and you can kind of sneak your hand up that side to stuff it towards the passenger side.
Reached up on the pass. side with a set of extra long needle nose and made sure I have all of it in the jaws, shoved up on the drivers side while pulling down on the pass. side, around the battery cable, and filler tube until it looked right / even
Slide it back some and applied some weather strip adhesive to the top of the tunnel (only place I could reach) and slide it into place
