All wires ran and connected to Amp, but still need head unit to finish.
After testing I can start putting things back together....at last I see light at the end of the storage compartment.

Hey you had mentioned a slight concern on the higher end levels being "muddy" because of being aimed at the carpet.... How cool is it that the mounts for the tweets on the Infinity 6x9's swivel...so I turned them toward the front of the car.. should improve that sound considerably.. plus they have an actual gain on those speakers just for such issues....really looking forward to firing this mother up...
I have my 6x9's & amp mounted up under the deck also....like the added space....the lack of quality sound only becomes an issue if I have a lot of stuff piled in the back
Great job... 682XLR8...yours is the only other install that I really like...
some others are very nice. It looks like yours is at an angle? Mine is pretty much flat...almost totally invisible...unless your bent down looking up under the back.

I used the mounts for the rear window tray, the rear mounts are lower than the front, so yes, it's at an angle
The 6x9's have their own enclosure, probably not sufficient for really good bass, but it's all I had room for
I hear ya on the small space issue...that's why I ran my 6x9s without enclosures..sort of....the are enclosed but more for cosmetic than for the sound quality...they are more like free air.
I have some questions on "grounding" HOW and WHERE did you ground your amp? and Did you run a wire to the battery from your Head Unit for constant 12v for memory?
Ran the ground directly to the battery, right along with the 12+, using the same size wire for both....it was only about 3' IIRC since the battery is practically right underneath
For the head unit I tapped off the fuse panel for constant 12+....didn't see a need to run another wire back to the battery
Thanks...I wanted to have this conversation on line to let others know what their options may be.. Your install is rockin!
Sure...always willing to share info
You're install has a somewhat cleaner look than mine....no amp wires showing plus you used Dynamat I wanted to be able to tweak the controls on the amp without having to unbolt it...unfortunately the wiring is on the same side
Here's the thread to my install, hopefully there's some info there you might find useful...if you have any ??'s let me know
Your photo gave me an idea on what to do with my 73 interior restoration. I like the way this will keep the compartment area free for the tee tops and other items. Putting the amp above the compartment looks like a good solution. Thanks for the photo and the tip.

Thanks if you need any specifics about the install let me know...glad to help a brother.
