35 years old shocks
After 35 years these guys did not want to come off, especially the back.
Without a friends lift it would of been a long weekend.
Really surprised that they still had some rebound left.

Hey, put them on eBay as "original factory installed" Corvette shocks. You never know....

how many miles were on the car? seeing that most don't get driven nearly *** much as other cars, i'm not shocked they have some rebound.

I put then on about 1976-77 i think, they where adjustables set on street/strip. I wound say they have about 40,000 miles on them.
Its a driver and the roads in downstate Illinois are really crappy, lots of train tracks. Guess i got my moneys worth.

With respect, it makes me wonder about the condition of other key suspension components under your car....and the frame?

Very little rust on the frame or cage, considering it was driven for 3 years in the Chi-Town salt before going downstate.
In 1 1/2 years since i retired we have replaced the rear-end cover, fuel pump, all four calipers, 2 rotors, wiper motor, pass side door glass, and stripped and repainted the car.
By far the shocks where the hardest to get off
