Has anyone else had problems with Ecklers? I purchased parts during the holidays because of the sale prices.I just started to install the remainder of the kits. The quality is really bad. I received two different seat belts (buckle had wrong color on one side). I sent back the bad one, then I'm told since it was a kit I had to return the other one as well. Gas emblem started to peel and the car didn't even see daylight. I purchased the seal kit and find out the main door seals are two short. I just installed one side because it seemed to tight, sure enough the next morning it was broken. The thing is since I ordered a kit they want it all back, well how do I do that when I already installed the t-top and pillar rubber. I even had to modify the window seals to make them fit correctly. These items are expensive and should work. Anyway I'm now out about 70 dollars since I'm past the 30 day mark. They did offer a 10% discount for another pair, that makes sense buy another wrong part.
I live 45 minutes from Ecklers, haunted the place back when Ralph was still captain,
They went way, way down hill, and from what I gather the desk jockies are not even car much less vette people,
What you are saying I have heard a lot and after it happened to me I just mail order vette specific parts from some of the wonderful venders right here on this forum....look how Wilcox will step in and help.
I guess if I was in Titusville anyway I might walk in Ecklers showroom but I doubt I would drop any toad pelts there....
I just now sent a door handle back that the flapper thingy would scrape the side when you opened the door. It was not one of their cheaper models either. They sent me another one and I am sending this one back for a refund. I guess it happens but it damn sure is a pain.
I placed a fairly large order with Ecklers which comprised of various kits. Was not happy with some of the items in the kits and only wanted to return those items. Ecklers told me I had to return the complete kits which I did for a refund and spent my money elsewhere.
I've given up on the big suppliers (Ecklers, Zip, CA, CC, etc.). Tired of getting stuff that didn't fit. Must say that Willcox seems to stay on top of things very well, and their posts here are often a huge help.
I'm a huge fan of the Dr. Mrs. Dr. Rebuild said he recently had a second cardiac issue. She's real nice, and at this time, real worried about the Dr. Hope he's on the mend, don't know where I'd go otherwise...

Only once. I ordered the L88 cold air box and ZL1 flares from them. Their only online shipping option was via FedEx. FedEx, at that time, provided terrible shipping fulfillment in my neck of the woods. When the time came to place another order, I called them beforehand. I explained my problem and stated that since I was the one paying for shipping, I should have the choice of shipping companies...my preference being UPS.
I was told it was FedEx or nothing. I chose nothing and have never done business with them again. Thank goodness there's other Vette vendor choices.
I have purchased a few things from Ecklers with no problems and the sales people were very helpful and friendly. That being said, they were small items and nothing that was a critical fit part. As mentioned above, I have been treated very well by Wilcox - great prices and quality products. Shipping was a little high, but certainly would not keep me from going back - which I have.
I have never purchased from Ecklers but I will likely be getting some Impala parts from them in the future.
I usually try to buy something from every vendor. Haven't been to them all yet but making my rounds in order to spread the joy and see what I think of each.
Bairs was a positive experience. I have purchased from Volunteer Vette while at Carlisle but not yet through the internet. I ordered a few things from Zip without any problems. Corvette Central, Mid America, and Corvette America have had my business and I am usually happy with them.
Next on my to support list are Paragon and Keen. I have seen them at Carlisle several times but they didn't have anything that I needed at that time.
No disrespect folks, but vendor testimonials -- good, bad, or ugly -- do not help Pvette. He needs to continue working with Eckler's to resolve his issues.
