It's been awhile since I posted pictures so here are a couple of new ones. Most of the rolling chassis is done now. The big brown truck should be here in a few minutes. I think this weekend we get to start the engine for the first time. Next week it's headed back to the body shop so they can make sure the body still fits before final work. Sunday I have a crowd coming over to inspect before the body drop so if any of you local guys want to stop by send me a pm and I'll let you know my address.
Hi Bill,
Very nice work showing in your pictures!
Boy; "big brown truck", "start the engine", and "body shop", all in the same post!!!! Will your heart be able to stand the excitement?
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
I want to say thanks to all the folks that came over today and helped with my inspection. We found a couple of problems and one of them started a tiny little fire but it was still a great day. The engine fired and ran for a few seconds before we found the fuel flowing out the carb everywhere but where it was supposed to. Lots of Oil Pressure, positive transmission fluid pressure, bouncy things bounce and rolly things roll. It was a good day.
Bunch of rookies and a couple of professionals made it a great day.
