looking for opinions on tires for my 69
As the title says, I am looking for opinions about a new set of tires for my 69 small block. Currently, I have BFG T/A radials. They look fine, but are 14 years old. They are P225, 70, R15, 100s.
The car rarely sees rain (only if I get caught in it) and sits in the garage for 6 months at a time waiting for the snow to melt.
I also have a 95 vert with four brand new Firestone Wide Ovals, each with flat spots from sitting. Firestone refuses to exchange them and says that it is due to the nylon used in the tires.
The T/A's have no such flat spots after all these years.
So, what are others putting on their cars these days?

I bought 225-70-15, redline, radials for my 68 from Diamondback. They will put the redline on Michelins. Great tires.

I am also interested in ideas on tires, I am running 15 X 8 factory Rally Wheels and want to put the widest that will fit all around, I read some posts that say a 255 50 15 is a good size to use all the way around, no rubbing etc.
What do you think?

Tire choice is entirely up to you. What do you want? I have Firestones on my two and no complaints.

I live a block from the beach in a house I restored, I grew up in Medford, but like many of my friends we are buying in Lynn as we can actually afford it and will be getting in there during a lot of urban renewal, some very big and positive things happening in Lynn..

If you have rally wheels, the raised white letter tires look really nice with them. I think the BFG T/A Radials are a very good option, if you just use it on the street. If you have P02 wheel covers, the thin-line whitewalls or red/blue/gold-line tires [depending on paint color] look best, IMO.

Costco had BF Goodrich's.Use tire size search button on their website.I'm running Firestone Firehawk 255/60/15 great tires no issues.Another brand would be Mickey Thompson ST ,nice tire with good reviews T rated.

I bought 5 Firestone Wide Ovals from Coker in 2007 and have had no problems with them other than they are bias ply and if the road isn't a smooth uniform surface,
it turns into a slot car.
I just had to have that look on my '71.
