Hondas? Have you looked at any American muscle car/hot rod since the 50's? Larger and wider tires in the rear is not a ricer thing.

I currently have wider tires on the rear, but am planning to go with the same size on all 4 for tire rotation reasons. If you like the look, go for it! It's your car, make it enjoyable for you.

Both of the staggered examples look great! I can see where on some cars it may not be as impressive. I can't tell you what looks good on certain corvettes, but I can see when it doesn't look good. WE all have different taste........thank GOD or we'd all be driving the same stinking car.

Most of what is written in the following is opinion, but it is experience-based opinion.

Two different aspect ratios is crap. But since my car's had wider rear tires for more than 35 years, keeping 60 series all around might not be exactly 'cool' but it's not crap like having 70's on the front and 60's on the rear.

What Honda's have staggered wheel sizes??? Aren't they FWD?

They run larger wheels on the front then??

I think what oldc3guy is talking about is staggering the width of the front and rear tires, not the diameter. Having wider back tires has been a mainstay of hotrodding since time immemorial.

Some of you guys seem to be talking about staggered tire diameter, which is usually just kinda stupid looking on a C3 'vette. Newer cars that come from the factory with smaller diameter front tires, like C5 and C6 'vettes, look cool because the trunk is much higher than the hood, and the larger diameter back tires and smaller diameter front tires look symmetrical with that body style. The mistake that some people make is to say "New cars have smaller diameter front tires, I'll put smaller diameter front tires on my C3 'vette, and that will make it look like a new car!". Well, sorry, but the C3 'vette body style, with the height of the hood and the area where a trunk would normally be, along with the curves and styling of the body, if anything, add emphasis to the front of the car, making those smaller diameter front tires look even smaller, and throwing off the symmetry of the car. I usually laugh out loud when I see C3 'vettes like this, they make me think of the old Gasser drag cars.............hmmmmmmm.............a Gasser C3 'vette? Anybody up for one of these? LOL!!!!

Keep the shiny side up!

I like the stance of the car with the taller tire on the rear. I have 255's on front and 275's on the rear. It fills up the rear wheel well better and looks better. 255's are too skinny for the rear of these cars.
And only throws the speedo off by 1 mph.

Default 255/60/15's 4x

My .02 which ain't worth anything but to myself! I like 255/60/15's all 4 corners.I consider my car a sports car not a drag car. So I want a balanced look at all four wheel's.To each his own and setup your car for your purpose,be it drags, autoX,or just cruisin!! Aloha's [IMG][/IMG]

Got 235/60 in front and 255/60 at the back of my '78 and 225 /45/18 in front and 245/45/18 at the back on my Genesis coupe and they both look perfect.
