Default Hardtop Fitment

I have a 68 vert that I have been working on for about a year. LS1 engine, rack and pinion, composite springs front and rear, chassis and suspension completely rebuilt, interior from a 76 fitted with custom aluminum center console. Now its time for the bodywork. I have all the doors, hood and deck lid fit, and fit well. Here's my question, when I put the hardtop on I have a gap under the front of the sides behind the door windows. The gap is about 3/4 inch in front and sits on the deck lid in the back, but the window gaps look correct. Has anyone else had this problem and what have you done to make it fit better?

The lower corners of the hard top should have a slight indentations to clear the doors when they are opened and closed. It is not 3/4". Post pics of your top in place.
