Default Difficulty Getting Proper 1969 Green Interior Panels

I have a 69 with dark green interior. In the past I had trouble getting the right green and once again, I just ordered some upper rear interior panels and encountered the same problem.

The parts I got were manufactured by Corvette America. While they are of excellent quality in workmanship, they are quite off from the correct 69 green. They do say 69 green on them, however, they clearly have a blue-green color to them.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I ordered these from Corvette Central and they were drop shipped from Corvette America. What other vendors are currently manufacturing interior panels?

In the past, I found EC Products to be excellent quality and color match. Is anyone still selling EC Products?

Take a piece of your original green to a SEM dealer and let them match your color. Dye the off color pieces with the SEM.

At least you can still find your parts, try finding these seat covers anymore. Thank God they're still in great shape. It seems green just isn't carried by the vendors and has been stated you end up getting into dyes.

SEM is a brand of interior dyes and paints, you usually can find it at a good auto paint supplier.

I have used it several times with excellent results, including tan to black.

I'd prefer to get vinyl colored properly, but will likely go that route if I can't find anything correct. I still need door panels and it would be great to get them with the correct vinyl color.

The stuff you just bought is dyed. So, if you want it to match what you already have, buy a small can of [liquid] SEM "ColorCoat" vinyl dye along with a $10 Pre-Val gas/bottle sprayer. Mask or remove your trim and spray 2 light covering coats. They will match and it will look terrific.

P.S. Get SEM dye at about any professional auto body shop paint supplier. Take an interior piece in you want to match...along with the GM interior color code number...and they will do the rest.

Usually, Corvette Americas color matches are pretty good, but some of their colors are off. The 69 green and the 70 light saddle, are 2 that come to mind.

I think the problem comes from their inability to acquire the correct color vinyls.

What other vendors are currently manufacturing interior panels?
Al Knoch in Texas, also produces interiors, but I don't know if he makes the rear roof panels you need, or if they buy them from Corvette America. He does make his own door panels, though.

Mid-America also make some interior pieces, I think, but I'm not sure exactly which ones.

In the past, I found EC Products to be excellent quality and color match. Is anyone still selling EC Products?
EC is still around, but they don't market anything to the public. EC Products is strictly a wholesale company. Corvette Pacifica is the retail arm of EC Products.

EC makes (or made) their own windshield pillar moldings, but I don't know what other interior pieces, they might make.

Whenever your dealing with an interior, especially with a color that's not one of the more common/popular ones, it's always a good idea to ask your vendor to send you a sample piece of vinyl material, before placing your order.
