Default Window seal

Trying to decide if Bubba re-engineered the window seals on my '77 or if this is a GM thing. AIM shows the screw on the right going through both the seal and molding but no fastener hole in the seal strip at the back end. Molding and seal appear to be original but who knows for sure. Is the seal strip suppose to dip down as pictured? Sumptin' ain't right here. Both doors are the same.

Hi cw,
Perhaps someone was trying to make the seal from a convertible, (shorter), work on a coupe, (longer)?
Regards,
Alan

Sorry, but I cannot view most pictures posted on the site. So don't know exactly which seal you are talking about. But when I did my weather stripping I learned about 77 models being early or late and the rubber being different where the molding is attached to the t top. , so check it out.

I don't think so. Doesn't the bead on the seal ride along the edge of the bead of the window molding on the door?

Seal and molding are parallel until the last 6" which is shown in the picture. Fasteners line up with molding and door but I smell stale beer and Bubba. Ordered the correct seal set this morning from Willcox.

Apologize for wasting everyone's time on this thread.
