Transmission Leak
My 350 trans is leaking pretty good from where the detent cable bolts on to the trans. There is a flat metal washer there. Am I missing an o ring or something? The car was recently purchased and I'm not sure if it was taken apart and not put back correctly. I'm not sure how this flat o ring is suppose to make a good seal.

Some years had a 3rd gear switch in a port that's right behind the detent cable. If that switch starts leaking, it'll look exactly like the cable. YOu might not have anything back there but a pipe plug, but it's worth taking a look.
