Mighty sad day today...took the 427 for a ride and put it into a storage locker along with the Harley Softail Custom...and a lifetime of collected household belongings, otherwise referred to as useless crap. Sold the old boat, rented the old house, bought a used diesel pusher motorhome and hitting the road full time in search of new adventures. Probably won't hear much from me in the coming years...which won't upset a number of the more outspoken characters on this forum. No matter what anybody thinks, I've only tried to help and encourage others with this hobby. Oh well, what the hell. Nothing stays the same forever, time to move on. Keep the rubber side down. Mustangs suck. Can't think of anything else witty to say right now.
Most motor homes these days are pulling some sort of ride such as a smart car or other small vehicle. Start a new, pull a C3. It would look great.
I would have at least brought the bike along!Enjoy your trip, more than a few of us wish we could do the same for a little break
from the daily grind...
Hi FR,
I'll miss your posts and pictures; I always enjoyed them!
What you're doing does sound like big fun, (and takes some courage!)!
I, too, would like to have an update from time to time to hear what, and how, you're doing.
Best Regards,
Alan
No big deal still being on the forum, with today's wireless service, and free availible mobile hot spots. If you have a trusted friend or family member, why not have him check, and take out the toys, once in awhile. I frequently travel, and have a retired friend, that takes my car to cruise meets, when he wants to. No big deal, and probably drives it more conservatively than I do.
Except for not having the Corvette available on a moments notice, what to be sad about? This could be one of the most exciting and stimulating periods of your life. Lots of nice people and new friends out on the roads, in the campgrounds, and elsewhere. Lots of creeps too so just be careful and enjoy your adventure.

Wait. You have a '69 427 and a soft tail and you're going out for adventures in a motor home? Didn't you ever watch Route 66? The best adventures can be had in a vintage Vette.
Happy travels. Give us some travel updates every now and then!
