Default 1975 interior question

Please take a look at this interior of a 1975 vert.

Looking at my Corvette Black Book, I assume this is the Custom Interior Trim option, which included leather seating. However, this sure looks like vinyl to me. I haven't seen it in person yet. What do you guys think?

Thanks for your help.

Seats are vinyl. Carpet along the bottom of the door panels is deluxe so something was changed. Not sure if the fake wood trim was an option or not?

Fake wood inserts on door panels and console came with the Deluxe interior. Should have leather seats, but those have been changed to vinyl, apparently.

You should check the trim tag- that will tell you definitively if the seats were downgraded to vinyl or the rest was upgraded.

NOTE: Ed was typing the same time I was...

Check the visors too.. Deluxe had smooth visors, standard had textured ones like the seat covers. When people up-grade the interior to deluxe most often they don't change the visors.

Deluxe interior cars all had cut pile carpet in them too..

Most of what I see is the deluxe interior package. Seat upholstery, on the other hand, is vinyl and not leather as already pointed out.

The car looks nice. Not totally 'stock', but how many cars are totally stock? The interior is very nice; the mirrors are functionally better than the chrome type, but not original to the car. Engine compartment is all there but needs lots of clean-up [parts all being there is a big "plus", IMO].

You need to check for rust on frame/birdcage, check all the drivetrain and operational systems out well, and test the operation and condition of the top. But, if that goes well and the price is decent, it would make a nice addition to the garage!

To the OP, good luck when you go to see the car. Let us know what you find!

Lots of interesting tid bits of information on this thread. I didn't know about the smooth visors with the delux interior nor about the black out on the leading door frame. Both useful details to know
