Pre-bent fuel lines
I just got my Pre-bent stainless steel fuel lines. They are bent in half I guess for shipping, how do I go about unbending without damaging?

Haven't bought mine yet, but I do want them bent in half. I would call the vendor and ask.

Gently pull them apart?
I got pre-bent and shaped brake lines for my FJ-40 from SOR and two of them had to be gently bent back into shape.

I just put them on the floor, and slowly "rolled" the bend out of them. Had no problems doing it that way.

I did the same thing. If you take your time it will straighten right out with no problems.

A slip on tubing bender might help.

That's how my brake lines came. Just slowly unfold them.

Yeah I was a little surprised when they came bent in half too. I did my best to hand straighten them but still was not satisfied. I bought an inexpensive tubing bender from harbor freight and with a little patience, got them as good as I was going to get. They lay up nicely against the frame and once clamped up look very good.

Hi t,
I agree that they can be straightened pretty easily.
The suppliers bend them in an area that was straight so you know what shape you're heading for.
Regards,
Alan

I see others have chimed in. I didn't realize that it appears that they do come with a gentle bend. Now I know.

Set them out in the sun for a little while and be gentle unfolding them.

My tubing bender didn't work in the opposite direction given the radius of the bend. Instead with a router I cut a channel of the same diameter as the tube in a board and unrolled the bend in it. The channel depth was the tube diameter and my unroller was a piece of 4" OD PVC pipe.

Mine came bent as well, it's like that for shipping or in my case when I picked them up so I could fit an 8' line in a 6 1/2 foot bed on my truck
