Default Correct Keys for 69 Alarm?

I have a 1969 Corvette with the optional Burglar Alarm. According to the 1969 Owners Manual, the Key code(Square key) for the Ignition and the Doors are "E". The Key codes for the Spare Tires Lock and Glove door (Round Head) are supposed to have an "H". There is NOT any mention of the optional Burglar Alarm system in the Owners manual.

The Alarm system still functions properly (Weak Beeping Horn) when the doors or hood is opened!

The keys that I got from the previous Owner 25 years ago, had the correct "E" for the Ignition and Doors, but a "D" code for the Glove Box and a separate key with a "D" code for the Alarm.

Since I do not have a Spare Tire Lock, I was going to buy the correct key code "H" for the Glove Box and the Spare tires.

Is there a correct Key code for the Alarm??

Thanks

Hi M,
According to the NCRS TIM&JG, in 69 the optional alarm system, (UA6), used a small round head Briggs & Stratten logo key.
The way I read the manual it was a B & S key, but still with the 'H' keyway of the round head 'GM Mark of Excellence' logo key' used for the glove box and spare tire lock.
Regards,
Alan

Sounds like the the same key used for the locking gas cap, though this key does not activate my alarm - I do not have the alarm key either.

Mark, there appears to be an NOS switch w/ key on ebay.

Default Alarm Key..

Thanks for the great information. The alarm switch that I had was a "D" Code with an original GM Mark of Excellence Key. I think I even had the Punch out code for the key.
The one on EBAY has a completely different Bezel. Mine is Flat and rounded.

Looks like I have to buy the one on E-bay and try to sell mine.

Thanks again for settling this issue for me!!
