You know I take pride in whatever I do. If I really thought I was gonna half *** the job I wouldn't have got the car. Nor would I be on a forum talking to people about this car and making sure I get the right pieces for the right price. Plus this is a car I plan on giving my daughter when she graduates. And I won't put my daughter in a car that isn't perfect.

Welcome Redwolf. The C3 is one of my favorite corvettes. I have owned a bunch of Chevy's over the yrs, including my current 2 corvettes. I love the sbc engine. Simple and effective and easy on the wallet for parts. But I used to work in a Ford factory assembling them when I was a young man. So I still have a soft spot for Fords. Mustangs, especially early fastback models are on my short list of next project car. I also love Ford trucks. Best damn truck made. Yeah I've had 3 late model Chevy's a 2500 and 2 1500's, 1 was a real pos. 6 times back to the dealer for total loss of power, truck was an 08 and didnt even have 6k on it, yeah Chevy builds a great truck. My F150 is a better driver, especially off road, where I absolutely need to count on it starting and driving back to civilization. Anyway thought I'd let the Ford haters know there is room in this world for diversity. You learn that as you grow older. Anyway, good luck with your project. Some of the guys on this site have real good information, others should stick to their xbox, and you will quickly figure it out.

wow holts summit is right down the road from fulton very cool

well i can see your point that you went from a car that was a piece of **** to a piece of history. as long as you know that you are gonna be spending allot of money going into it you'll be fine. also i dont like fix or repair daily i like F#cked On Race Day or fords are like tampons, every p#ssy's got one....

congrats on your trading up an we will all be as helpful as possible if you need it during your build

Default F o r d

I was primarily a Ford man for most of my life but not to the point I would not consider another brand. I've had a few of most of the big three over the years. Regarding the F O R D I always thought it meant: first on race day, or found on road dead, or f---ing old rebuilt dodge. Take your pick!

Some of you guys seem like a lot of fun and alot of knowledge. I can't wait to tear into this. I'm basically gonna strip this car down and rebuild it. Replacing anything I think needs to be done. Just wish it was done already. Would love to go outfor tht weekend cruise with the r tops out.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but you will have to have a very, very nice '76 for it to be worth $15K. The optional L-82 is in your favor.

Good luck.

Whoa up, Desue. Jay may have seen the light.

Check the classified here and also on the C3 registry (now a free 1 years membership ) at C3vr.com

Only "JUNK" yard that specializes in Corvette is located in Bristol Pa that I know of

http://www.contemporarycorvette.com/

for small parts Dr. Rebuild has a ton of stuff BUT the owner is sometimes a SOB to deal with although I have personally never had even a hit of trouble with their service or parts.. I'd order a catalog from them even if you do not buy anything .. its a great bathroom reference book with diagrams for almost anything and it don't have any jewelry or clothing listed..only parts !!!

http://www.docrebuild.com/dr-r-web/aaa-home.html

And of course check out all the vendors in this forum...!!!!!!
Good luck ...

Give the guy a break.
Maybe he's been saved and has finally seen the light.
Although I doubt it since he wants to sell even before he's begun, but you never know....
