VETTE Magazine
DC

It makes we wonder why the Porsche marque can support several magazines while the Corvette marque is down to two. I think it's because for the most part the editorial content is better and the articles are much more deversified. At least that's how it appears to me. I take the time to scan through the Porsche magazines just about every month and I find late model road tests, performance upgrades, hot rods and clones, and classic articles. They just seem to me to do a better job of having something for everybody in every issue. The Corvette magazines try to do the same thing but I think the Porsche magazines are more entertaining but maybe that's because I don't own a Porsche.

I am quite astute with the English language but this clown just likes to use words because he has the floor, I have a two year subscription to Vette but at this time I won't be renewing it, if I see one more article about a resto mod I will vomit, kudos to these guys that take a basket case and turn it into a hybrid show car but its not what I want from the hobby nor can I afford such nonsense. I do not want to read about corvette racings latest antics either, I dont give a movement. What I do want is lots of useful articles that will assist me in keeping my car on the road for the lowest possible price and tell me about the products that work, not the ones that spend the most advertising in your magazine..... sheesh, I could spend all day on this soap box but that's enough, I don't think the mag is going to change anytime soon and the best part is I still have all my mags from 1996 to now so I have a good reference library from previous, more skilled writers concerned with our hobby not wordsmiths feeding an ever present ego.
cheers, Dennis.
I have plastic tubs full of Corvette magazines from 1988 to present. Keepin Track of vettes, Corvette Fever, Vette, Corvette Enthusieast, Chvey Corvette Trader, Hemmings, NCRS, etc etc etc.
When they killed Corvette Fever and replaced it with Vette, they got rid of the wrong editor, and the mostly the wrong contributors. The C32 articles they do print are just thrown together. One concerning distributors and advance curves had a photo of a rusted piece of junk to show how the weights worked. Very cheesy.
Vette is owned by Source Interlink Media which owns almost all the motorsports mags. In addition to Vette, they own Motor (Moron) Trend, Hot Rod, Automobile, and the list goes on. They are all scrambling for subscribers; free subscriptions are common. I subscribe to Hot Rod, and it's OK, but most of Interlink's mags are just crap. I recently cancelled a free subscription to Motor Trend, couldn't stand reading their crap.
If this forum goes away, I'll really go through withdrawals.

I let the subscription run out about a year ago, but I missed the monthly anticipation of a new magazine coming through the letter box.
However, I have just renewed my subscription, but this time it is Electronic (an app on my I pad/i phone....)
I LOVE IT!! No more piles of magazines.
As to the context, my first online Vette magazine issue has an article about L88, beautiful C2 (resto mod with LS9 engine), lovely custom C1, another L88 (yellow convertible)...... How to C4 article, C5 and C6 ....
Really enjoyed the magazine and already looking forward to the next issue.
No more piles of old magazines and always at my finger tip with my phone or tablet.
All the best

The writers have no idea what C1/C2/C3 users want to see.
