Default VETTE Magazine

I have received a Please Come Back offer from Vette Magazine. I am on the fence about it and tend to doubt things have improved much since I let my subscription die on its own. Has the C3 content improved for the better or is most of the magazine still C6 bling articles?

I also let mine run out. I look at the covers at Barnes and Noble when I go there and it still is c6 at least to the c7 comes out.

Still 5 and 6 heavy. I do as others have implied. Go to B&N and page through it first before deciding to purchase it.

I did the same...mostly a cataloge for C5 & C6 ricer stuff. If you want to see what Vette is up to, save the gas check their website http://www.vetteweb.com/

To me it looks like they throw a C3 article or car in it every month just so they can say they did. This month they do a suspension and steering upgrade in a car that won't ever see the street...thanks.

I prefer the Corvette Forum to any Corvette magazine for both technical and general interest C3 information.

Hi Mike,
You post reminded me of my stack of SHARK QUARTERLY.
Perhaps Wayne Ellwood needs to revive that magazine because it might just be more successful now since the 68-82 magazine content these days is zip compared to 1995 when he started S.H..

Alan

Yeah, I liked Corvette Fever, but when they merged with 'vette magazine, and I started getting 'vette magazine instead, it really turned out to be kinda disappointing. My subscription ran out a couple months ago, and I haven't renewed.

I know we lost Corvette Fever and Corvette Enthusiast a month apart. I miss them both. Damoroso is right, Vette magazine throws a token C-3 article in to try to keep you from quitting them. I have subscribed to Vette Vues magazine since 1975,check it out. Corvette magazine is pretty good also.

Wow, so happy to hear I was not the only one dissapointed with Vett. Just let my subscription go a couple months ago. Lots of info on fancy stuff I cannot afford. That La Mons gas cap costs as much as a complete set of carpet!!

Just let my subscription run out as well for the lack of C3 content. I learn more and see more beautiful pictures on here anyway

I have to agree with the web idea as well and yes I do the Branes & Noble visit too. What drives me crazy is Vette and Corvette Magazine are the only Corvette magazines left on the news stand. Anybody ever look at how many Porsche magazines there are? No less than 5 and one is completely dedicated to "Classic" Porsches. Are we that out numbered by the Porsche guys?

Back in the day, Corvette Fever was the Magazine. I still have many of the really old magazines. When Corvette Fever died, Corvette Magazines were gone. I let my sub to Vette expire. I cant afford all the expensive stuff or the bottomless pocket restos they show.

Corvette Forums is now the place. If you can ask the question, you will find a answer here. Pictures of beautiful cars like we drive and can afford are here also. Corvette Forums took the place of the old Corvette Fever and did it well.

Agreed! I still have a few of my CF mags boxed up from when I bought my first Vette in the 90s. It was a good quality product.
