Default Hawaii Five-O showing a C3

I follow one of the producer/editors (Peter Lenkov) of the show on twitter and he posted this picture tonight of a new character and her new ride "Catherine's ride". Nice to see a C3 coming to one of America's most popular tv shows. Hard to tell what year but then again who the hell cares, it's a C3 Stingray in prime time My guess is a 1973-1975 with a passenger mirror install

Plus the full-length cowl-induction hood, and the round emblem on the nose; I'd say more like a '75 (though cars for the camera are rarely pure-stock show-quality rides...).

Yeah, I would agree. I noticed the passenger seat has the seatbelt through the seat design which is and earlier design before they went with the door post fastener but the drivers seat is not factory. Let's call it a stunt seat

I think the new season starts first or second week of September

It's not a '76, at least not without the Vega steering wheel.

What about the badge? Is that year-specific?

The round badge was used from 1973-1976. Can't tell from the photo which year it is since they changed it a few times during that range, mostly the tint if the red color and design of the logo.

Yeah, but the 73-74 emblem had the writing around the outside that shows up as a dark circle from a distance.

Also, wasn't the 74 rear vision mirror wider? I'm going for 73!

True, just can't tell from the photo. It's a 1973-1975, just have to what and see it on the show.

Hey! This is one of those "hidden" pictures! If you stare at it for, like, 5 minutes straight, you will start to notice a hot chick in "Daisy Duke" shorts walking up to the car! Try it!!

Keep the shiny side up!

Yeah, it is one of those trick pictures. After I stared at it a while I noticed there was a Corvette in the picture.

Default Was on Last Monday Night 10/1

I saw this episode Monday. The car wasn't driven, she walks up to it, as in the screen shot above, then gets in and makes a phone call or text, I forgot which.

Looking at the emblem and the steering wheel I was guessing 1975 but I could be wrong.

Not a 73-74 - I see cross-flags in the badge, so it must be 75 or 76
