Default Seat removal

Any ideas how to get the seats out if I can't move the seat forward. Which is why I'm trying to remove the seat the car has sat for 15 years and things are stuck

Yes. Actually get in the seat, unlatch the lock, and slide it forward with your momentum....rather than try to get it full-forward with your arms.

The front of the seat interferes with the trans tunnel; so it won't move full-forward unless you "beat" it into submission.

True dat! Those seats can seize up. You'll want to be careful about the type and amount of lubrication you choose to apply as well, so as not to stain the carpet.

As to your original question about removal: There are only four bolts per seat, but (as you've probably discovered, and must be talking about) the rear two bolts are only accessible if the seat is slid forward. I suppose you could drill out the back two bolts for each seat from beneath the car, but that sounds like an amazing headache to me. Good luck.

Thanks I think I will try and drill them out.I am not to concerned about the carpet because it will be replaced. Leaving a car on the front lawn for 15 years is never a good thing in Canada

there's a frame gusset that obstructs the acess to the out-board seat bolt. you may have to use a hole saw to get to those bolts.
