It is verifiable 28,000 orig miles. The interior is a 9 and the repaint is about an 8.5. There are a ton of records and the car drives like new. The only thing I see is the clock does not work and the gap on the rh door is a little wide . There is some paint checking in the usual places but not bad. There is absolutely no rust anywhere on this car it looks like it just came off showroom floor. It is a 350/200. The hard top is missing it originally came with one. Anyone have any ideas on what it is worth. I don't think 30,000.00 Any input would be appreciated
Wow--nice documentation and a good story . . but it's a restored car and not completely orginal - - if it was original, I'd say it supports the price, but might be strong IMO for a restored car- even one done to this level.
Regardless, I doubt it's too far off.
I'm sure some of the others on the forum far better versed than I am will offer their thoughts - - but IMO, a good looking, well documented car worth some pretty good money.
For a repainted base small block, convertible, with A/C (if it works...no value if it doesn't) and decent paint and top....$18K-22K, IMO. The owner is asking $30K and hoping to get $25K. He will probably not get the kind of 'traffic' he was looking for with that ad, because of the high pricing for a '72.
Don't know anything about the condition of the frame/rust. It's a nice car and would make a good 'driver'/weekend show/cruiser. Definitely not worth over $25K.
It might have been worth that a few years ago (assuming that the car is actually rust free), but right now, I would say that it would be worth somewhere around $25k.
AC works great. The 2 things that impressed me is , this car is clean, Absolutely no rust any ware, And it really only has 28K miles. But as you pointed out I think 25K is the top.

Agreed Mash, I think he is into it for 45K so trying to get most out of it.
go on ebay and check the completed listings. you might find a similar car that has been sold recently, and also you'll see the highest bid prices on cars that did not sell. just an education.
Hi Joe,
I'm going to disagree on this one... a 4 speed, a convertible, a good color, and a/c!!!!
IF it's as nice and as REAL as it looks in the pictures I don't think $30k is too much.
I do think you have to have someone who knows 72 sb cars seriously well take a look at it in detail to see if it is in fact what it appears to be.
At only 26k miles, and restored, it should still have the vast majority of the parts it left St.Louis with. It should have very, very, few reproduction or service replacement parts on it.
I think there's a big difference between a car that's a truckload of parts that have been brought together, and a complete original car that's been restored.
Regards,
Alan

The owner is saying that the price is negotiable so he's looking for an offer. I'd offer him about $22,500 to start the negotiations and see where it goes!

He wants 29 LOL That is what he told me , But offering 22.5 and see where it goes sounds like a plan.
