Default Painted emblems

I replaced the cross flag emblems on my 77 with Stingray emblems (sorry purists and others that disagree for various reasons). They were just lying around, so I decided to paint them.

I first stripped the old paint off with lacquer thinner (didn't hurt the chrome one bit). Then I used some testors paints and a small brush.

This is the first one

I used flat red, flat white, and flat black. I think the flat colors look best.

And this is where I decided to put it.

As you can see in the picture I have a spec plate from a 76 (sorry to the purists again). I know they sell spec plates for 77s et al, but they have horsepower ratings on them and I won't advertise horsepower ratings below 300, let alone below 200.

Anyhow, here is the other one. I got the paint scheme idea from the Blue C3 thread.

The blue is testors flat sea blue.

I am thinking of putting it here. What do you think?

I am also going to replace the rear Corvette Emblem with a new one if I can just figure out how to get the dang thing off!

There was a thread a few weeks ago about a car that was for sale and the owner had put emblems here and there until it looked like an emblem truck fell on it.

Of course, your car .... but .... just say'n ...

and no, i'm far from a purist.

Getting that rear bumper emblem off is not too difficult once you know the tricks... but I don't think I can contribute to this project in good conscience.

Hey, you copied my emblems! lol. I was hoping I would get to see mine in person before the idea was copied... lol, oh well. Looks good!

I am not a fan of the emblem on the bumper, but, like everyone said, its your car. Just a thought, not sure what hood you have, but what about putting them on the side of the hood cowl?
