Hey folks, I am in need of a new a/c control panel for my 75. Old one worn out, wheels won't turn well, etc.
I have heard that some aftermarket panels are cheaply made and would rather pay a little more for a quality unit. Any first hand experience with either good or bad ones?
I am also going to replace the old anchor/compressor with a newer sanden unit. Anyone know of a good kit to retrofit a new compressor and factory air to new freon?
I'm about to send my original control to Willcox Corvette and have them rebuild it.....I would recommend this any day over a replacement...oh, and Willcox knows their stuff REAL well.....
Any competent automotive AC shop in your area can convert your existing system to R134a if you want to go that route. They can also advise on whether you should swap compressors or use a rebuilt A6. The A6 would probably be cheaper, is stock, and will fit without any modifications.
