This one will sell..........
Looks all original.... could be maybe cleaned up and repaired to survivor status even.

If I had the money and the "will" to start over - I'd snag this.
But it will hopefully find a good home.

An Illinois car, with that much frame "surface" rust, likely has other real rust issues. I'd want to have a good look at the cowl and windshield pillars, as well as the frame and trailing arms.
It's pretty obvious that the seller's a car salesman, as a lot of his claims about the car, appear false.
The car is said to have a tele column, yet I see no evidence of a tele column lock ring, under the horn cap. The listing also claims that in the "last couple months...repairs were made to the brakes". Though it appears that there is a new caliper on the left front, it's obvious from the photos, that the right front caliper is leaking.
It's nice to know that the car has "bright metal wheel covers", but I'm a little curious about his assertion that the car has a "10 bolt positraction rear end". I've never seen a Corvette rear, referred to as a "10 bolt". It looks like the car may have had a new radiator, but it also appears to be leaking?
Only 65-67 350 horse cars used an aluminum intake, the 68 (and 69-70 350/350 also), used a cast intake and a Q-Jet. The questioner is wrong in stating it should have an aluminum intake, and the sell is clueless, claiming that it is aluminum one, painted orange. Or just plain misleading.
An interesting "inspection list"!!!
This one's a keeper... "Were their any 'clanks' when the car first started up?"
It may have been in the same family since 1970, but they're pretty rough on their cars.
How large was the person who rode in the passenger's seat to rub that much paint off the emergency brake console with his/her love handle?
(not that there's anything wrong with love handles)

Alan
The current bid seems far too high to me.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Whoever bids on it is a fool.
Surely all it needs to be a "solid driver" is some new taillights! That is, of course, failing to mention EVERYTHING ELSE.
Holy cow. Cars like this make me feel GREAT about my investment. Thank you EBay!
There could be a decent car buried in there for someone with a bunch of time on their hands, but I couldn't imagine spending more than $5k on this enormous project...and that's being pretty generous.

That one on ebay is already over what I would consider paying for it.
My 71 convertible is a no-hit original that was restored in the 90's and it was only $13,000

I sold my 70 convertible for $7,500 and it still looked better than this one.
