Default What is this cable for?

Doing the teardown on the '79 and I can't figure out what the purpose of this cable is:

It is on the passenger side at the rear of the engine bay in the wiper area. It wasn't connected to anything when I brought it home.

Thanks

Hi,
I believe it was there to prevent the front clip from being completely knocked free from the cowl in a serious collision.
Regards,
Alan

Bingo.
There are two of them; one on each side. AIM shows them.

Thanks guys. I saw the one on the driver side but it is connected with a hex screw to the front clip. I thought it was some type of ground. I'll toss the AIM in the drive and take a look at it..
