Looking at the window bumper replacement in the door, I came up with an easier way to remove and replace both front and rear bumpers and make the job easier.
You just have to use your spring-loaded 'parts grabber' to hold that bumper while you remove it and put the new one on. The front one would've been really difficult with fingers or pliers to hold while screwing in, but with the jaws of the grabber around the side, I was able to manuever it down to the bottom of the door without losing it (it wasn't coming out either side or the top!).
I just replaced mine ('95 Base). My hands are kind of small which helps. I used a magnetic reach to help get the old ones out.
I put a long twist tie through the bolt hole on the new bumper, fished it through the mounting hole and pulled it up while using my finger from the bottom to maneuver it to get it in place. Once it is aligned right it kind of holds itself in place against the glass. I used my fingers to keep pressure from the bottom while I removed the twist tie and screwed the bolt in.
