Im looking for nose, front fenders, rear bumper and hood emblems.
But only the 3m kind with self adisive backs, where sells these?
Some sites dont state if they are adisive or not.
The rear ' C O R V E T T E ' letters each have pins to locate and retain them. You cannot buy them without the pins. You could use a Dremel to cut the pins off, I guess.
Both the 80 and 81 nose emblems, come with the double sided tape backing. They also have 2 short locating pins on the back of each.
Front fender - 77-79 flags
The 77-79 side flags come with double sided tape, and 2 locating pins.
Rear bumper - 68-73 'corvette' emblem
The 68-73 "Corvette" rear emblem, is not a single one piece emblem, but is actually 8 individual letters. Each letter has 2 pins on the back of them, one for a speed nut, and the other is a short locating pin. They are only available with the pins.
Gas lid - 80 or 81 style
Neither the 80 or 81 gas door emblem comes with double sided tape for attaching them. 69-82 gas door emblems are attached with 1/4-20 acorn nuts (and 68's were riveted on).
Hood - red l-82.
The red 75-79 hood L-82 emblems have studs on the back, and are installed using speed nuts. The brushed chrome 1980 fender mounted L-82 emblems, do come with double sided tape for installing them.
Of course, if you want to use double sided tape, the pins and studs can be removed from any of the above emblems. I have to think that it would be a big pain, to cut and trim the tape use on the individual Corvette rear body letters.
Not a cheap option or one for purists but I had a local airbrush guru copy the originals and applied under the clearcoat. I hate cleaning around emblems.

That airbrushing talent just amazes me. I cant even use crayolas without screwing sh%# up.

Terry
pretty interesting to watch. The guy shows up with a handful of little templates that he had already prepared. He did the nose emblem, both fenders, rear, and some artwork on the L-88 hood sides in under 2 hrs.
