Why keep focusing on the hood?
You're worried about the symptom but ignoring the problem.
It's painfully obvious the front clip is grossly misaligned-
You can buy a dozen hoods and none of them will fit properly.
Unfortunately, you were taken by a body shop that obviously knows NOTHING about Corvette bodywork (and I question their abilities in general).
You've already taken the 'easy' way and you see the results.
There is not a cheap, easy fix here- It needs to be done correctly or not at all.
Just my .02

The hood is not your problem! All of your problems, are a result of the mounting of the nose.
You really need to have someone familiar with Corvette bodywork, take a look at the car. The nose appears to be high on the left front, and possible low or too far back, at the right rear. All of the cracking in the drip rails, indicates to me that the nose is breaking lose, at many of the areas where it should be bonded together.
Before you go any further, or invest any more money, you need to determine exactly where your problems are.
thanks for your concerns. do anyone know any good body shop that knows how to work on Corvette in Washington state?
You might want to ask this, over in the "Pacific Northwest" section in the "Events & Regional" area of the Forum. You'll get more Corvette owners, from your area of the country there.
Oh my god your local to me.I know the best vette body guy in our area you should see what he did to my 68.I can get you his info if you like I'm in Snohomish,Wa.
Give me a call I'll hook you up with him. He is reasonable priced and has been doing corvette bodywork for over 35 years. He put the nose on my 68 all nos individual parts, top surround fenders inner fenders bonding strips and all its beautifull. It really is a dieing art what he did ,He is the best in this state and I would bet allot of states.
Oh my cell is 425-three 28-six 192 my name is Dave. I hate to say it though but your body man should never have painted your car because in the end it will need to be repainted again to fix all of your issues. If anyone can fix your car he can no doubt in my mind,He is THE BEST.
