I am interested. Can't believe the amount of C3 being converted to LS. You could own this market.

Im just starting to plan my LS swap....to be honest, you making LS side pipes is going to determine whether I do the swap or not as I refuse to lose the side pipes.

That is exactly why I went with the old school SBC. I probably would have gone LSx, but really wanted sidepipes. Put some nice alum heads and an EFI kit such as the FAST EZ EFI and I don't see that there would be much difference.

I'd be interested in some under car long tubes for sure. Its tough to find a decent header for LS swaps. Nobody wants to commit to building a really good pair.

there is a HUGE difference between a Fast EFI Gen 1 SBC and a LSX. Engine difference aside, one is a TBI the other is sequential fuel injection. That said I'm sure the Ez EFi would be a great mod.

I'm planning n Lsx swap in my 72, and a set of sde pipes that will accept the 69 side pipe covers are what I'm waiting on. I'm not crazy on the hooker styled pipes anymore. I'm sure a custom set would be really expensive

You are going to be waiting a long time for that set up. Can't seem to get any manufacturer to budge on a regular set of headers. I am going with stock manifolds off a C5 for now. They have as good flow numbers and already have the O2 bung. You could then adapt to hook up to your style side pipes.

Right now the issue is getting a car to build the headers on. If anyone close to the Detroit area has a c3 with an lsx that could bring to our shop, we would love to build them!

At this point I think I would trailer my C3 LS Vette to Detroit to have decent under car header made. This is like finding hens teeth. Impossible. I know you are looking for aside pipe car though.

Ahem... Jeez Jonny... If you only knew someone who has one locally.

Call me. My car's been at Tony's since November (winter storage) so it's not like I'll really miss it if you want to use it.

I am also looking to do a LS1 swap to my '81. But the only thing that has been stopping me is not being able to have side pipes.

I'd like a set down the road. I already have a ls engine that I plan to build and swap in eventually. But any purchase would be a ways off as I just freshened up my current engine and put a set of side pipes on a year ago.

Well my 72 had a rocker stud lifting and motor is still weak. So my LS swap is staring now!

I am planning an LS3 swap, and would definitely buy a set of undercar headers if they wer available and fit properly. I will probably use stock exhaust until something decent is available.

Please keep us posted on your progress if you now have a donor vehicle
