That material is made of a polymer substance. It will accept 'elastomeric recoloring agents' (aka, vinyl dye) as well as any other plastic parts. They just have to be cleaned well [to rid them of all the Armor-All put on them for years] before using the vinyl dye. You may have to shoot more than one coat...and at different angles...so the mesh is adequately coated.
P.S. No, I have not re-dyed my visors; but I have done some "touch-ups" on some areas of the seats, and it stays on just fine.
