My rear defogger switch seems to be broken and I cannot seem to find one on any of the repo websites. Can these be repaired? Anyone else run into this issue?? (1969)
Depends on what's wrong with it. If the contacts are just burned/carboned-up, clean them. If the mechanism is just worn out, no.
If you need to find a similar replacement, Google "rocker switch" and include current requirement [ie, 30 A], whether it is lighted when on, and/or color of the switch to help narrow the search.
When you find a manufacturer that makes a similar product, write down the item designation number. Then call Newark Electronics or other mail order electrical component supplier to see if they can order just one.

Oops! I thought they were rocker switches. You probably can find a similar type switch with the same diameter shaft...then put the original **** on it. Doubt anyone could tell the difference.
