Default Another casting number question

Can anyone tell me what a 0003512 # with CONV 1 (or I) and GM 5 cast on the block represents? I think it's a 69 427, but the 000 is the mystery.

There should be an engine assembly date and idenification code on the block on the pad at the front of the right head.

Hi d,
I see the '3512' as part of the late 69 427 and 70-72 454 casting numbers; 3963512. The 3s,9s,6s,0s, are often difficult to read... any chance in your case?
The GM5 is a typical mold number.
Regards,
Alan

Your'e right. My buddy has the engine at his place and he couldn't see very well. Block is 3963512 and stamped T0425LU. I will try and get over there myself and see if I can find the number on the heads, all he saw was a stamped HC, whatever that is. Thanks for your help.

LU is a correct 69 code for the L-89.

Got a look at and it is not a U, it's a V. Got the numbers off the heads (didn't know they were under covers) and it looks like 3946074. So it's a 69 L88 block and heads, but no intake. Cool.
