wheel/tire advice needed
Ok, my dad and I have a 1977 vette and he wants to run 17x8 American Racing torg thrust wheels. what backspacing/offset do I need to not have rubbing issues? and what size tire would you run?

A 17x8 needs a 4" backspace which is the same as the stock backspace on a factory 8" wide wheel. As far as tires go you can go with 255/50s all the way around as thay are 27" tall the same as the stock tire. There's about 3 threads going right now with the same type of questions. Do a search using "17s" there is literally hours of reading and lots of pictures. Hope this helps.
