if your wanting to race I would go carb .or you could go with the the new f.a.s.t injection.there have been guys who have done it but it is a lot of work and money.

This is great info. What do you mean buy cut the EGR out. You have removed the EGR or ported it. Sorry. Just trying to understand without making mistakes on my xfire.

on the crossfire,there is a large tube inside the intake for the egr.if you cut it out you will get better air flow.

I have the new DCS Renegade intake and I'm not a endorser but is well worth the money. Car pulls hard to redline. It's a day night difference in the way it runs. I will eventually swap the heads for maybe some Vortecs.

Are you going to build some kind of outside air or forced air system or just leave the filters open to the hot engine compartment air?

You may be losing some power if you are getting hotter air now than you did with the stock air cleaner.
