I love the C-3 body style .. But after 73 these cars just blow they have no power ,,It is an insult to the whole line of Corvettes . . .
And if a 140hp Cavalier or a Scion can beat your vette,, And your looking for window louvers and ground effect kits ,, you need a good beating
Your new goal , those who fear a Scion , (ha ha ha ha ha ) is to grow some hp ***** and get them under the hood of that car .. It is sad to even be reminded how weak some of these cars are , makes you realize your cars may be the justification for handicapped parking .
Tell him that if his world beating Scion were 35 years old it would have less power than a one cylinder lawn mower and would be instantly inhaled by your monster V8 the second you turned the key .
Most vintage cars don't race anymore. You may wish to inform him that one doesn't guzzle a vintage wine - it's sipped. Let him enjoy his box wine but don't forget to remind him that in 35 years all he'll have left is an empty old box that no one will want.

This is interesting...after a bit of googling I discovered the following-a new Scion Tc weighs 3050 lbs. with 180 hp. In stock form your Vette is a little over 3500 lbs, roughly the same horsepower, and a good bit more torque. Rear drive =better traction too. I don't know what if any mods you've done to the Vette, but if you pulled off the bumper covers and removed those crash bars from underneath, and took out the spare you might be close. It's all about power to weight, get rid of some of the dead weight and bolt on a few horsepower and you may surprise him...
So I get loving the cars ! But how do you guys sleep getting tore up by trucks and gas savers ? I would be losing my mind , last year I ran a 600hp chevelle light to light and easily got him as he lost traction big time where as I jumped right out of the hole.
Several of our friends seen it , and for those who missed it at our last gathering in 2012 I asked him if he could tell if my break lights where working ,, he replies ya I think so ...HA HA HA HA HA that was all he had to say the whole group litterly laughed to tears ..
Now over the winter this guy invests in DOT approved slicks , carb , and rear air bags to keep the car from torquing when he hammers it all because he insists he will never be behind me again ... So I did my top end to go from 350hp to 430hp hoping I can hold my light to light edge ! And if I do , I ordered a new license plate ,,, It is subtle and says .. UHAVLOST ..............
