A Corvette Buildsheet Book was rolled out this weekend at the NCRS Regional meet hosted by the National Corvette Museum this weekend. It is a study guide to 1973-82 build records with six chapters, coil bound, in an 8.5 x 11” format with 54 pages and 52 color illustrations. NCM members (or NCRS) get a discount.
The guide is for the (C3) owner, collector, hobbyist or buyer who wants to explore Corvette assembly production broadcast codes, learn how those codes were used to tag parts and how the buildsheet documented buyer options. Six chapters cover topics exclusive to 1973-82 build records. Color illustrations match a detailed analysis of build records and shows the reader how to interpret buildsheet data whether its an RPO, broadcast code or retrieving job numbers from schedule data and/or body panels.
Hi h4c,
That's good news.
I think anything that adds to the information available for 73-82 cars can only add to the interest in restoring those cars.
For me that's a good thing!
Regards,
Alan
They just had to start the year of this book at 1973. What do they have against 72's??
In the early 70s, General Motors Assembly Division (GMAD) was taking over division plants (Chevrolet, Chevelle, Camaro) and using their paperwork, the landscape style buildsheet. Before than plants used three sheets and were portrait style. This book just looks at the landscape GMAD style buildsheets
