1972 seats
My wife's 72 is in need of some seat adjustment and I would appreciate some guidance from the fine folks on the forum.
Recently we had the Lower Corvette Seat Frame Repair Plates (from MidAmerica) installed. However, the shop didn't take the time to do align the upper seat back bumper posts with the bottom bumper bolts; the top ones aren't landing on the bottom ones, but in front of them.
What is the best way to solve this issue on my own?
thanks in advance.

Without having hog ring pliers and hog rings. Un-doing the rear cover and "tweaking" and welding any splits in the metal frame is NOT for someone who does not know how to do this repair.
If you want this repaired...you might be able to un-do the cover and see if it is split/torn/cracked....then POSSIBLY take it to someone who can weld and has WELDING BLANKETS so the weld spatter does not damage your covers. A touchy job if the cover is not released enough so welding ( if needed) can be performed easily.
The shop that installed these plates did not do anything to change what was already damaged. I am quite certain of that....knowing this type of seats very well and I have repaired more than I can count.
