I like when they say #s match in a car like this. Yea. That is important.
I don't care for the graphics, but while it may just be the photo, it kind of shortens up the car.
But that interior..... I don't want a car that belonged to somebody that thought that was a good idea.
To each his own though.
Back in 1980, the 1970 wasn't a big financial investment. If wrecked, then the updating was an easy issue. Many updated their cars back in the '60s and '70s, as staying original had very little importance then.
If more recent, then it is a wreck that found a cheap front end and chance to live again as an interesting custom.
Look at the price. He probably has 3 times that invested in it not counting his labor. It is the curse of custom cars. They are usually designed and built to please ONE person - the owner, and when it comes time to sell, it is often hard to find another who likes everything about it.
Not to be taken as an endorsement but as of late we have seen worse. It's in no way as bad as that some what red/bondo Trans Am/Corvette hybrid thing that was posted not that long ago.
Hi,
"Hey Mabel, you mind if I use the bathroom rug on the console of that car I'm building?"
"No. not at all, just get me another one the next time you're at Dollar City"!
