Default 69 diff carrier ?

Body off resto going on and I'm trying to put the diff crossmember on the frame. I've run into a little problem hopefully someone can help. Firstly it looks like the diff crossmember can go on either way , there doesn't seem to be a "towards front or towards rear" option?
Most importantly what size are the 2 bolts that attach it to the frame? 3/8 is to small and 7/16 seems like it will go but I'm gonna have to coax it. I don't want to strip them so before I force the 7/16 can someone tell me their size?

Grade 8 ----7/16 coarse thread. I hope you have an assembly manual.

Crossmember can go on either way.

Thanks fellas. I do have the AIM. Do have a 7/16 coarse and if starts about 3/16 of the way then tightens. For sent look like I got any paint in there and doesn't seem to be any rust. I just don't want to force the bolt and screw up the threads. Don't have a 7/16 tap. Guess ill get one tomorrow
