Default Interior light door switch
What is the black wire for on the drivers side interior light switch? The white one is hot and when I ground it the light comes on. Someone cut the black wire and I'm not sure why. I have a 69

I believe it's for the key warning buzzer that tells you you left the key in when opening the door

I have a 72, and it sits behind the drivers side dash, on top of, and between the speedo, and tach.

I believe it moved at some point in time. On my 70 the buzzer is in the horn relay. On my 73 it is between the tach and speedo as stated above.
