What Else Do You Drive?
Something new for everyday in my garage.
Ordered on March 5th, arrived June 18th.
It seems to do quite a few things VERY WELL.
Literature/tests indicate 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, top speed electrically limited to 155 mph, but 31 mpg. A wolf in wolf's clothing.
Most people don't know what it is.
Had to save my Social Security checks for 2 1/2 YEARS to afford it.... and to get my wife to say o.k..
Regards,
Alan

Found this picture from the day I bought the car. It was way too cold for a "top down" ride but for the picture I managed to brave the cold for a moment in the driveway (or least what passed for a driveway before paving) buying in December had me parking it for the winter on the very day I got it.
I bought this more "Civilized" summer ride back in '06. Still, have it. For everyday stuff like taking the dog with me and winter driving my most recent purchase was a 2013 Subaru Forester....... a replacement for the 2003 Forester I used to drive.

It's a 2013 AUDI TTS.
To my thinking quite a cool little coupe.
It's all wheel drive, has pretty good hp and torque, interesting suspension with magnetic ride, an automatic transmission with 2 electrically operated clutches that seems like it will be big fun, and is quite light because of the use of aluminum in areas of the chassis and some of the outer skin.
The fit and finish inside and out is very good to my eye.
I've only driven a bit over 240 miles so far and it seems to be very civil around town, but has quite a different personality when the turbo spools up.
I'm keeping the revs down until I get some more miles on it, but it seems like it has the potential to be quite quick because of the weight and torque.

Alan
