I'll have EVERYTHING gutted on my '69 in the next week or so and was curious what everyone thinks on pressure washing the interior along with the engine bay and outside.
I know it sounds crazy but the interior has lots of leftover "fuzzy" pieces from insulation and glue, oil gauge leaked at one time so it's oily inside. and overall just needs a bath! Especially if I intend to spray a "lizard skin" type product eventually.
I also ask because as I wash the engine bay and wheel wells there are going to be holes I'd have to cover up if I didn't want the interior to get wet.
Not something I would want to do....unless there was a gallon of milk or a big jar of honey spilled inside. Use a sturdy bristle brush and a Shop-Vac to clean up any loose stuff. The rest will be covered up with carpet and panels....

I'll definitely be pressure washing the car.
BUT
I might not purposely pressure wash the interior. Although I'm not sure I'll go to great lengths to prevent water from getting inside.
